Christian Ministry Visions 1999: 'Prision Of Our Past'

"The Prison Of Our Past" (Vision)
(January 18, 1999)

[This vision was written, through me, for all of God's Children]

I found myself sitting outside a prison, that I had once been imprisoned in. I knew that I had just been released; but, instead of walking away from the prison, I sat on the roadside curb. I had been set free; but didn't know where to go, or how to use my new freedom.

Because the old walls, and the hell that had gone on inside my prison, were more familiar than the freedom I had been given by God, I continued sitting outside the prison, going nowhere. I was no more free outside the prison, than I had been while the walls still surrounded, and held, me prisoner.

"Get up and follow the light", says the Lord, "stand up and follow the light of God. Allow Me to take your hand, and guide you into a place far from the prison walls; and all you endured while held captive within the flesh. I AM your freedom from fear, Amen. I AM freedom."

I longingly looked back at the prison several times, hesitant to go forward. Immediately, God showed me the image of Lot's wife, looking back at the city God was destroying. She was destroyed; and turned into salt.

God said, "steadily look forward, My child. You are free now. Keep your eyes on your freedom. Do not look back. To look back, longingly, is to fall backwards. Do not go there Chris; but rather, move forward into Me. I move into a newness for you. This newness is one of Joy, peace and rest. No longer need you enter through the doors of despair, into the hellish prison you once knew, Child. Enter into God's continuous freedom."

Each time I had looked back at the prison, it became smaller, and smaller. Now it was gone, because, in obedience to God's Word, I no longer looked back. I only look forward at His guiding light.

To linger, and attempt to remember our past lives from which God has set us free, is to attempt to walk back into hell. It is to deny the beautiful gift God has given us - FREEDOM FROM OUR PRISON CALLED 'THE PAST', Amen Amen Amen.
